Being part of the United Rentals Group means that among other regulations our vehicle insurance is checked and verified on a constant basis by the URG regulators. This ensures we are using the most up to date and correct insurances.
All vehicles are fully comprehensively insured for Hire and Reward, commercial use, and are covered for one way European travel, (This is required when the start and finish points are in different countries, most other commercial insurance companies do not offer this type of cover).
All vehicles come with full AA Fleet European Breakdown / Recovery, and roadside assistance cover.
Insurance Excess
The standard damage excess liability on all vehicles is set to £2000.00However you are able to lower the liability to £1000.00 if you wish to pay £12.00 per day.
We do not hold cash deposits during your hire, however we are required to pre authorise a credit or debit card for the excess amount that you choose.
Driver
All drivers must be over 25 years of age with at least 2 years driving experience and a maxamum age of 70.
(note drivers over 70 years accepted subject to insurance company approval)The standard van hire charge covers 1 driver on the insurance, but for £5.00 per day you can add another driver to the insurance.
